VIRGINIA EQUINE ALLIANCE PRESENTS ‘VIRGINIA THOROUGHBRED WEEK’ ON HRRN BEGINNING MONDAY, MARCH 10
LEXINGTON, KY (March 10, 2025) – The Virginia thoroughbred industry will be in the spotlight March 10 through March 15 as the Virginia Equine Alliance presents a special ‘Virginia Thoroughbred Week’ on the Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN). The award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky, will celebrate the storied history of the Virginia thoroughbred industry leading up to Saturday’s $500,000 Virginia Derby, the first-ever Kentucky Derby qualifying race at Colonial Downs.
Beginning Monday, March 10, HRRN will recognize the achievements of top Virginia-bred horses and their connections. Listeners will enjoy replays of memorable wins on all HRRN shows throughout the week, along with interviews and conversations focused on the history of the Virginia thoroughbred industry. HRRN’s social media pages, email newsletters and website will offer additional noteworthy content throughout the week.
‘Virginia Thoroughbred Week’ concludes March 15 with a Virginia Derby day edition of HRRN’s popular Saturday morning Equine Forum show which airs weekly from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Eastern.
