GRADE 1 STEPHEN FOSTER HANDICAP BROADCAST LIVE ON HRRN SATURDAY NIGHT
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, they will broadcast the $500,000 Stephen Foster Handicap (G1) live this Saturday, June 16.
Presented by Breeders’ Cup, the broadcast emanating from Churchill Downs, in Louisville, Kentucky, continues HRRN’s “Road to the Breeders’ Cup” series, which features exclusive radio coverage of 37 Breeders’ Cup Challenge Races. It begins at 8:00 PM ET with the $200,000 Wise Dan (G2) and the $200,000 Fleur de Lis (G2) will follow. The evening’s signature event, the Stephen Foster Handicap (G1), with a scheduled post time of 9:39 PM ET, culminates the program. Host Mike Penna will be joined by analyst Jude Feld on the coverage, with Tom Leach reporting trackside and Churchill Downs announcer Travis Stone providing the racecalls. The broadcast airs throughout North America on SiriusXM93, locally on WHBE-AM ESPN 680 and will be streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
HRRN’s Stephen Foster (G1) coverage actually kicks off early Saturday morning at 8:00 ET with their popular Equine Forum show. Trainer Graham Motion and other major players in Saturday night’s races will discuss their stakes entrants with Mike and Jude on Sirius219/XM201 and streaming live on the HRRN website.
