HRRN’s coverage of the $9 million Pegasus World Cup and $7 million Pegasus World Cup Turf airs Saturday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. ET on SiriusXM channel 93 with live streaming provided on the network’s website, www.horseracingradio.net.  The 2-hour broadcast is presented by Red Brand Fence and the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders’ and Owners’ Association.  Mike Penna will anchor the coverage along with analysts Jude Feld and Dan Mason with former jockey Jeff Bloom providing paddock interviews and commentary.  Gulfstream announcer Pete Aiello will provide the live call of each race.

HRRN’s 2019 schedule includes over 40 live race broadcasts encompassing coverage of more than 125 graded stakes including all three legs of the Triple Crown and the Breeders’ Cup World Championships.  For the fifth consecutive year, HRRN’s exclusive broadcast of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 4th   will be produced in partnership with NBC Sports and Westwood One.

“The prestige of Gulfstream’s Pegasus World Cup and the newly added Pegasus World Cup Turf is the perfect way to launch our 2019 broadcast season,” said HRRN President Mike Penna.  “This marks our 16th consecutive year of providing live coverage of our sports most prolific races.  It is an awesome responsibility and tremendous privilege to be able to bring these races to life for our listeners unable to see them on television.”

Listeners can gear up for the big day by tuning in to HRRN’s popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum presented by Red Brand Fence, hosted live from Gulfstream Saturday morning from 8:00-10:00 a.m. ET.  The Equine Forum airs nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed live and podcast on the HRRN website.
