Dan Mason


Dan joined HRRN as an analyst in 2016. He returned to sportscasting after a long and tenured career as a broadcasting executive, spending most of his time as CEO of CBS Radio.  In 2015, he was inducted into the National Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago.  In addition to horse racing, Dan covers women's basketball on radio and television, spending two seasons at the CBS Sports Network.  He currently serves as Chairman of VSIN (Vegas Stats & Information Network), a Las Vegas based company dedicated to providing proprietary information to sports gamblers.  In addition, Dan is also Chairman of the New York based Broadcasters Foundation of American, a charity that serves those in the radio and television industries who find themselves in acute need.

A native of Louisville, Dan graduated from Eastern Kentucky University.  In 2006, he received a Honorary Doctorate of Humanities for that institution.
