HRRN PREAKNESS STAKES COVERAGE BEGINS WEDNESDAY
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, will return to Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, MD for the twelfth consecutive year to provide live on-site coverage of the 144th Preakness Stakes (G1).
Preakness week programming begins Wednesday afternoon with a special Maryland Horse Industry Spotlight Show at 4:00 p.m. ET presented by the Maryland Horse Breeders’ Association, followed by live coverage of the Preakness Post-Position Draw at 5:00 p.m. ET sponsored by Country Life Farm and the Maryland Horse Breeders’ Association. Both shows can be heard on Sirius 219/XM 201 with live streaming provided on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
HRRN returns Friday, May 17th with live coverage of the historic Pimlico Special (G3) and Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (G2) beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET on Sirius 219/XM 201 and streamed live on the HRRN website. Bobby Neuman will anchor the broadcast along with analyst Jay Privman of the Daily Racing Form.
A full slate of Preakness day programming begins at 8:00 a.m. ET with HRRN’s popular Saturday morning talk show, the Equine Forum presented by FarmPaint.com. Host Jude Feld will be joined by special guests to preview the Preakness Stakes. Listeners can tune in from 8:00-10:00 a.m. ET on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and on the HRRN website.
HRRN launches 4 ½ hours of live race coverage Saturday afternoon starting at 3:00 p.m. ET with their broadcast of the Preakness Day undercard stakes hosted by Bobby Neuman and Jay Privman.
At 5:00 PM ET, exclusive coverage of the 144th Preakness Stakes begins in partnership with NBC Sports and Westwood One with Mike Penna hosting alongside analysts Kurt Becker and Dan Mason. Jeff Bloom and Tom Leach will report trackside while Baltimore native, Larry Collmus will call the Preakness.
All Preakness day shows can be heard on Sirius 219/XM 201, terrestrial affiliates across the country and are streamed live on computers and mobile devices at www.horseracingradio.net.
