THREE MAJOR KENTUCKY DERBY PREPS TO BE BROADCAST LIVE ON HRRN
Wood Memorial, Toyota Blue Grass & Santa Anita Derby
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, their schedule for Saturday’s vital Kentucky Derby prep races.
The broadcast, presented by Red Brand Fence, begins at 5:30 PM, on Sirius/XM 83, with the 94th renewal of the Grade 2 Wood Memorial scheduled to run at 5:55 PM ET. That race will be followed by the Toyota Blue Grass (G2) at 6:23 PM ET and the Santa Anita Derby (G1) set for approximately 7:15 PM ET.
In addition to the three Kentucky Derby preps, the broadcast will include bonus coverage of the Ashland (G1) at Keeneland, with a post time of 5:45 PM ET. Mike Penna and Jude Feld will anchor the coverage from Keeneland Race
Course in Lexington, KY.
Fans can get set for the weekend action by tuning in to the HRRN’s popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum presented by Red Brand Fence, from 8-10 AM ET on Saturday morning. The show airs nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 201. This week’s guests include trainers Kiaran McLaughlin, Bob Baffert and Mick Ruis, along with Keeneland’s Jesse Ullery and handicappers Michael Hernon of Gainesway Farm, Steve Castagnola and John Gasper.
