HRRN SETS MORE THAN 15 HOURS OF ON-SITE BREEDERS’ CUP WEEK PROGRAMMING

 

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced today they will return to Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA on Tuesday to begin more than 15 hours of live Breeders’ Cup programming culminating with exclusive radio coverage of all 14 Championship races on Friday and Saturday for the thirteenth consecutive year.

 

Starting Tuesday morning, HRRN will host the first of three consecutive Breeders’ Cup Countdown shows live from Santa Anita’s famed Clockers’ Corner.  The shows, presented by Red Brand Fence, can be heard Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET.  Each show features interviews with owners, trainers, breeders, jockeys and handicappers along with real time training reports on Breeders’ Cup contenders.  HRRN’s Bobby Neuman will host the shows alongside analyst Megan Devine.

 

Listeners can tune in to the Breeders’ Cup Countdown each morning on Sirius 216/XM 202, along with select HRRN affiliates across the country and streaming online at www.horseracingradio.net.


On Friday and Saturday, HRRN returns with exclusive radio coverage of the Breeders’ Cup races presented by visitbarbados.org and Red Brand Fence.  The broadcasts air live from 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. ET on Friday and 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. ET on Saturday.  Coverage can be heard throughout North America on          Sirius 219/XM 201 and on various terrestrial affiliates with live streaming provided on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.


HRRN President, Mike Penna will anchor the broadcasts alongside analysts Kurt Becker, Bobby Neuman and Dan Mason with Ashley Mailloux providing pre and post-race interviews from the paddock and winners’ circle.  NBC Sports announcer Larry Collmus will have the live call of each Breeders’ Cup race.

 

Additional Breeders’ Cup week programming on HRRN includes Red Brand Radio on Wednesday and Thursday afternoon from 3:00-6:00 p.m. ET, Trainer Talk presented by Fasig-Tipton on Wednesday with special guest Dan Blacker and the Brisnet.com Call In Show on Thursday, both airing from 6:00-7:00 p.m. ET.  Friday’s NYRA BETS Weekend Stakes Preview will air at a special time prior to the Breeders’ Cup broadcast that afternoon from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. ET.  HRRN’s Equine Forum show presented by Red Brand Fence can be heard Saturday morning from 8-10 a.m. ET.

 

Each show can be heard live on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with live streaming and archived podcasts available on the HRRN website.
