HRRN SET FOR 7 ½ HOURS OF BELMONT DAY PROGRAMMING CULMINATING WITH 151ST TEST OF THE CHAMPION

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Wednesday, a full slate of Belmont Stakes day programming culminating with exclusive radio coverage of the 151st Belmont Stakes with an approximate post time of 6:37 p.m. ET.
 
HRRN’s Belmont day schedule kicks off at 8:00 a.m. ET with a special Belmont Stakes edition of their popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum presented by Woodbine Entertainment. HRRN president Mike Penna and Keeneland announcer Kurt Becker will host the 2-hour program live from Belmont Park with special guests to discuss Belmont contenders. Listeners can tune in coast to coast on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with HRRN affiliates in Lexington and Louisville, KY. In addition, the show is available via live streaming and archived podcast on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
 
Live race coverage begins Saturday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. ET with HRRN’s exclusive radio broadcast of 5 graded stakes races on the Belmont day undercard. The broadcast features 3 Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” events; the Ogden Phipps (G1), Jaipur (G1) and Runhappy Metropolitan Handicap (G1) along with the Acorn (G1) and Woody Stephens (G2). “The Big A” Anthony Stabile will anchor the broadcast along with analyst Steve Grabowski.
 
At 5:00 p.m. ET, HRRN segues into exclusive coverage of the 151st Belmont Stakes in partnership with NBC Sports and Westwood One. Mike Penna anchors the broadcast alongside analyst Kurt Becker. Former jockey Jeff Bloom and the voice of the University of Kentucky Wildcats Tom Leach will report trackside while NYRA and NBC announcer Larry Collmus will call the Belmont Stakes.
