Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Monday it will provide 16 hours of Kentucky Derby coverage live from Churchill Downs beginning Wednesday, May 4 and culminating on Saturday, May 7 with their exclusive national radio broadcast of the 137th Kentucky Derby from 5-7 p.m. ET.
For the third consecutive year, HRRN will host its popular Derby Countdown Show live from the Churchill backside on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 8-10 a.m. ET, and will have live coverage of the Derby post position draw Wednesday afternoon beginning at 5:00 p.m. ET. HRRN returns Friday, May 6 with three hours of Kentucky Oaks coverage from 3-6 p.m. ET, and on Saturday will host its weekly Equine Forum Show from 8-10 a.m. ET and provide live coverage of the Derby day undercard stakes from 2-4 ET preceding its broadcast of Kentucky Derby 137.
HRRN’s coverage will be available on nationwide affiliates as well as on SiriusXM. Fans can also tune in worldwide with live streaming provided on the HRRN website,www.horseracingradio.net. In addition, HRRN’s Kentucky Derby coverage will be broadcast to service men and women around the globe on the American Forces Network.
HRRN’s award-winning broadcast team will be anchored by HRRN President, Mike Penna, along with analysts Kurt Becker, Jude Feld, and Rolly Hoyt, with paddock interviews and commentary provided by Sean Clancy. Amy Ireland will handle red carpet celebrity interviews. Don Roeder will produce.
