FLORIDA DERBY TO BE BROADCAST LIVE ON HRRN SATURDAY
Coverage presented by Red Brand Fence and Florida Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association
Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY and official radio home of the Triple Crown and Breeders’ Cup World Championships, announced Thursday, they will provide live radio coverage of the 69th Curlin Florida Derby this Saturday.
HRRN’s 90 minute broadcast, presented by Red Brand Fence and the FTBOA, begins at 5:30 p.m. ET and can be heard throughout North America on Sirius 219/XM 201 with live streaming accessible on computers, tablets and mobile devices on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net. The broadcast will also include live coverage of the Grade 2 Pan American Stakes and G3 Appleton which precede the Florida Derby.
HRRN president Mike Penna will anchor the coverage along with analyst Bobby Neuman. Gulfstream announcer Pete Aiello will provide the live calls of each race. Due to the unique circumstances requiring social distancing due to COVID-19, Penna and Neuman will provide coverage remotely.
In addition, fans can tune in to a special Florida Derby edition of the network’s popular weekly talk show, the Equine Forum presented by Red Brand Fence Saturday morning from 8-10 a.m. ET. The show can be heard nationwide on Sirius 219/XM 201 along with terrestrial affiliates across the country and is streamed live and podcast on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.
