‘VIRGINIA THOROUGHBRED WEEK’ PRESENTED BY THE VIRGINIA EQUINE ALLIANCE BEGINS TUESDAY ON HRRN
LEXINGTON, KY (September 2, 2024) – Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced today the launch of ‘Virginia Thoroughbred Week’ presented by the Virginia Equine Alliance, celebrating the storied history of the Virginia thoroughbred industry.
Beginning Tuesday, September 3, HRRN will shine the spotlight on the achievements of top Virginia-bred horses and their connections. Listeners will enjoy replays of memorable wins on all of the network’s shows during the week, along with interviews and conversations focused on the history of the Virginia thoroughbred industry. HRRN’s social media pages, email newsletters and website will also offer special content throughout the week.
Among the guests scheduled to appear are trainer Ferris Allen, a native of Varina, Virginia on Wednesday’s edition of Trainer Talk presented by Fasig-Tipton, Colonial Downs Sr. Director of Racing Operations Frank Hopf on Friday afternoon’s ‘Betting with Bobby’ show, and Debbie Easter, Executive Director of the Virginia Thoroughbred Association, on Saturday’s Equine Forum presented by Twin Spires.
‘Virginia Thoroughbred Week’ concludes Saturday, September 7, with a Virginia Derby day edition of the Equine Forum from 8:00-11:00 a.m. Eastern.
