Santa Anita Derby, Wood Memorial & Ashland Stakes Live on HRRN Saturday

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Wednesday they will broadcast live from Santa Anita Park this Saturday, with coverage of the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby. HRRN’s two-hour broadcast begins at 4:00 ET and includes coverage of the Grade 1 Wood Memorial from Aqueduct as well as Keeneland’s Grade 1 Ashland Stakes.

Fans can tune-in on Sirius channel 92 as well as on select HRRN affiliates. The broadcast will also be streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net. A complete HRRN schedule along with a listing of affiliates and streaming information is available on the HRRN site.

Dubai World Cup, Florida Derby & Louisiana Derby Live on HRRN this Weekend

Network to provide 10 hours of coverage with Dubai World Cup broadcast presented by AmWest Entertainment

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Thursday it will provide ten hours of live racing coverage this weekend, including exclusive broadcasts of the $10 million Dubai World Cup, along with a pair of million dollar Kentucky Derby prep races, the Florida Derby and Louisiana Derby.

HRRN’s coverage kicks off Saturday morning live from Gulfstream Park with a special edition of their popular Equine Forum talk show which airs weekly from 8:00-10:00 a.m. ET on 96.1 FM in Lexington, KY and streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.

The network’s live race coverage begins Saturday at 11:00 a.m. ET with a three-hour Dubai World Cup broadcast presented by AmWest Entertainment. In addition to the Group 1 Dubai World Cup, HRRN will feature five group 1 stakes on the World Cup undercard, the Al Quoz Sprint (G1), Dubai Golden Shaheen (G1), Dubai Duty Free (G1), and Dubai Sheema Classic (G1). The UAE Derby (G1) will be heard on tape delay.

HRRN continues Saturday afternoon with exclusive coverage of the Grade 1 Florida Derby starting at 3:00 p.m. ET. The broadcast will include the Appleton (G3) and Gulfstream Oaks (G2).

Sunday’s broadcast of the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby will air from 4:00-6:00 p.m. ET and contain coverage of two Grade 2 races on the Derby day undercard, the New Orleans Handicap and Mervin H. Muniz Jr. Memorial Handicap.

Fans can tune-in on select HRRN affiliates as well as on Sirius satellite radio. Florida Derby coverage will air on Sirius channel 92, while Sunday’s Louisiana Derby broadcast will be carried on Sirius channel 94. All HRRN shows will also be streamed live on the HRRN site. HRRN’s Dubai broadcast, presented by AmWest Entertainment, will air exclusively via live internet streaming on the HRRN website from 11:00 a.m. – Noon EST. HRRN’s coverage will include live calls of the Group 1 Al Maktoum Challenge-Round 3 and Group 1 Jebel Hatta, as well as the Group 2 Dubai City of Gold on taped delay. HRRN Returns to Gulfstream Park this Weekend

HRRN RETURNS TO GULFSTREAM PARK WITH COVERAGE OF 5 GRADED STAKES THIS WEEKEND

Davona Dale (G2), Sabin (G3), Very One (G3), Mac Diarmida (G2), and Fountain of Youth (G2) showcased on coverage

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Wednesday that for the seventh consecutive year, they will begin their yearlong broadcast campaign from Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, Florida. HRRN will be on site to provide exclusive live coverage of five graded stakes this Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, HRRN will have coverage of the Davona Dale (G2), Sabin Stakes (G3), and Very One (G3) from 3:30-5:30 EST. The Sabin will feature the return of Eclipse Champion Royal Delta for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott, while the Very One is highlighted by Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Turf hero Perfect Shirl.

Sunday’s broadcast will showcase leading Derby prospects in the Grade 2 Fountain of Youth as Breeders’ Cup Juvenile runner up Union Rags squares off with Algorithms, winner of the Gulfstream’s Holy Bull Stakes earlier in the meet. HRRN’s coverage will air from 4:30-5:30 EST.

Sunshine Millions, Luck Pick 6 to be Broadcast Live on HRRN

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Thursday it has partnered with Adena Springs, Gulfstream Park, Santa Anita, and the Stronach Group to provide live coverage of the tenth annual Sunshine Millions, Saturday, January 28, from 2-6 p.m. EST.  

HRRN’s coverage will include six Florida Sunshine Millions stakes to be contested at Gulfstream Park, along with four stakes to be run on Santa Anita’s Sunshine Millions day card, and will encompass each stakes races included in the $250,000 guaranteed (HBO) LUCK Pick six.   

Saturday’s coverage is the first in HRRN’s series of “Internet Exclusive” broadcasts to be made available exclusively on the HRRN website in 2012.  Fans can listen live with free streaming at www.horseracingradio.net

Eclipse Award Winning HRRN to Broadcast Charles Town Classic

(Charles Town, WV) – Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races announced today that it has reached an agreement with Horse Racing Radio Network (“HRRN”), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky, to provide the live radio broadcast for the 2012 Charles Town Classic on April 14.

The Charles Town Classic broadcast will be available worldwide via live streaming on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.  Additional affiliate information along with specific broadcast times and channels will be announced prior to April 14. 

HRRN’s award-winning broadcast team will be anchored by HRRN President, Mike Penna, along with analyst Jude Feld.

“We’re excited to add Horse Racing Radio Network to our expanded coverage of the Charles Town Classic,” said Erich Zimny, Charles Town’s Director of Racing Operations.  “As the exclusive radio home of the Kentucky Derby, HRRN is at its most visible in the lead-up to the first Saturday in May, which coincides very well with the timing of our race.” 

“Charles Town has done a tremendous job of consistently attracting top quality fields for the Classic,” said Penna.  “The Grade 2 status is well deserved.  We are thrilled to include this event as part of our 2012 schedule and showcase this outstanding night of racing to fans around the globe.”

The $1,000,000 Charles Town Classic will be one of 13 races on April 14 and serves as the feature on a card that includes the $250,000 Robert Hilton Memorial, $200,000 Sugar Maple and 3 other stakes.  Post time for the first race on Charles Town Classic day will be 5pm EST.

HRRN TO BROADCAST LIVE FROM UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA SYMPOSIUM ON RACING & GAMING

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Thursday it will provide special coverage of the 38th Annual Symposium on Racing & Gaming in Tucson, Arizona, beginning Tuesday, December 6th.

HRRN President Mike Penna and co-host Jude Feld will anchor a pair of two-hour shows, Tuesday, December 6th, and Wednesday, December 7th, presented by Keeneland. The shows will air live from 10:00a.m. to Noon ET exclusively on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net, and will be available via podcast on the HRRN site following each broadcast.

“I have attended the Symposium the past couple of years and have always thought it would be a great event to cover,” said Penna. “Many of racing’s most prominent industry professionals are in attendance to discuss topics that impact the sport on a daily basis. HRRN ANNOUNCES 20 HOURS OF LIVE ON-SITE BREEDERS’ CUP COVERAGE

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Thursday it will provide 20 hours of Breeders’ Cup coverage live from Churchill Downs beginning Tuesday, November 1.

For the third consecutive year, HRRN will host its popular Breeders’ Cup Countdown Show live from the Churchill backside on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 8-10 a.m. ET. The Breeders’ Cup Countdown features interviews with jockeys, trainers, owners, handicappers, and various industry professionals, as well as real time reports as Breeders’ Cup contenders appear on the track.

HRRN returns Friday and Saturday afternoon with nationwide coverage of every Breeders’ Cup race. Coverage of Breeders’ Cup Friday can be heard from 4:00-8:00 p.m. ET, and Saturday’s broadcast will air from 1:00-7:30 p.m. ET.

HRRN’s race coverage will be available on affiliates throughout the country, while fans can tune-in to the Breeders’ Cup Countdown Shows on HRRN affiliates in Lexington and Louisville, KY. All Breeders’ Cup week broadcasts will also be streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net.

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, will provide live coverage of nine grade and group 1 races this weekend.

On Saturday, HRRN will broadcast live from Belmont Park with a three hour Super Saturday broadcast featuring the Jockey Club Gold Cup, Vosburgh, Beldame, Turf Classic, and Flower Bowl Invitational from 3:00-6:00 ET. On Sunday, fans can tune-in to HRRN’s coverage of four group 1 races from Longchamp Race Course, including the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe from 8:30-10:30 a.m. ET. The coverage is presented by AmWest Entertainment.

The broadcasts are part of HRRN’s “Road to the Breeders’ Cup” series of broadcasts which includes live on-site coverage of Keeneland’s Fall Stars weekend, October 7th, 8th, and 9th, as well as the QE II Challenge Cup on October 15th.
