HRRN Renews Agreements to Broadcast Triple Crown, Breeders’ Cup

For the fourth consecutive year, Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, will provide live on-site coverage of all three Triple Crown races as well as the two-day Breeders’ Cup World Championships.

HRRN announced on Monday, they have renewed their exclusive agreement with Churchill Downs, Inc. to broadcast the 140th Kentucky Derby presented by Yum! Brands on Saturday May 3 and have reached a three year agreement with the Maryland Jockey Club to be the exclusive radio network of the Preakness Stakes through 2016. In addition, HRRN will provide the national broadcast of the 146th Belmont Stakes on Saturday, June 7 and will return to Santa Anita Park on Friday, October 31 and Saturday November 1 as the exclusive radio partner of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. DUBAI WORLD CUP, FLORIDA DERBY AND LOUISIANA DERBY TOP STELLAR WEEKEND ON HRRN

Eclipse Award-Winning HRRN to be Exclusive Radio Home of the Charles Town Classic & Penn Gaming Racing Challenge

Wyomissing, PA (February 24, 2014) – Beginning with the $1,500,000 Charles Town Classic (G2) at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races on April 19, Horse Racing Radio Network (“HRRN”) – the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, Kentucky – will become the exclusive radio home for the remaining 5 events in the 2014 Penn Gaming Racing Challenge. In addition to Charles Town Classic day, the HRRN team will provide coverage of Penn National’s Penn Mile card on May 31, the Race for the Ribbon program at Charles Town on September 20 as well as Zia Park’s Land of Enchantment day and Penn’s Thanksgiving Eve Racing Festival, both of which take place on November 26 and round out the series. HRRN Begins “Road to the Kentucky Derby” Live from Gulfstream Park this Saturday

Broadcast to include Fountain of Youth and Risen Star Stakes

For the fourth consecutive year, Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY will provide exclusive radio coverage of the Kentucky Derby, presented by Yum! Brands on Saturday, May 3rd live from Churchill Downs.

This Saturday, HRRN returns to Gulfstream Park to begin their “Road to the Kentucky Derby” broadcast series showcasing live coverage of the Derby prep races included in the Kentucky Derby Championship Series which begins with Gulfstream’s Grade 2 Fountain of Youth and the Grade 2 Risen Star Stakes at the Fair Grounds. HRRN’s series consists of nine broadcasts spotlighting fourteen races in the Championship Series.

Saturday’s broadcast begins at 4:30 ET and includes coverage of the Grade 2 Davona Dale and Grade 3 Canadian Turf Stakes in addition to the Fountain of Youth and Risen Star.

“The Kentucky Derby is The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports, but there is more to the Derby than just the first Saturday in May,” said Mike Penna, President of HRRN. “The prep races showcased in the Championship Series provide great theater and we are proud to enhance our Derby coverage by bringing the excitement of these races to racing fans around the world.”

Listeners can tune-in to the broadcasts throughout North America on SiriusXM satellite radio as well as on select terrestrial affiliates and via live streaming provided on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net. 20 Hours of Breeders’ Cup Coverage Begins Tuesday Live from Santa Anita

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Monday more than 20 hours of on-site Breeders’ Cup coverage live from Santa Anita Park beginning Tuesday, October 29.

This year marks the seventh consecutive in which HRRN has partnered with Breeders’ Cup to provide the national radio broadcast of racing’s championship days.

HRRN’s coverage begins Tuesday morning with the network’s popular Breeders’ Cup Countdown Show hosted live from Santa Anita’s Clockers’ Corner from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. ET. The Breeders’ Cup Countdown can be heard each morning Tuesday through Friday and features interviews with jockeys, trainers, owners, handicappers, and various industry professionals, as well as real time reports and updates as Breeders’ Cup contenders appear on the track.

On Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2, HRRN returns with exclusive live coverage of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Coverage airs Friday from 4:30-8:00 p.m. ET and Saturday from 3:00-9:00 p.m. ET with pre and post race interviews, analysis and the live call of every Breeders’ Cup race.

Additional Breeders’ Cup week programming on HRRN includes: Trainer Talk, Presented by Fasig-Tipton on Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 ET, the Brisnet.com Call In Show on Thursday from 6:00-7:00 ET and the Xpressbet Weekend Stakes Preview Show on Friday beginning at 3:00 ET.

With the Breeders’ Cup World Championships fast approaching, Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY announced today, they will return to historic Saratoga Race Course this weekend with live coverage of Breeders’ Cup Challenge races from coast to coast.

HRRN’s “Road to the Breeders’ Cup” series resumes Friday afternoon from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. ET with coverage of the Grade 1 Ballerina Stakes, an automatic qualifier for the Breeders’ Cup Filly and Mare Sprint division.

Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY announced Thursday, they will return to Monmouth Park this weekend to provide live coverage of Sunday’s $1 million Haskell Invitational.

HRRN’s coverage will air from 5:00-7:00 p.m. ET and include pre and post race analysis as well the live call of the Haskell and undercard stakes races from track announcer Larry Collmus.
