Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN), the Eclipse Award-winning broadcast organization based in Lexington, KY, announced Thursday it will provide exclusive live coverage of Dubai’s “Super Saturday” races, followed later that afternoon by coverage of the Grade 2 Tampa Bay Derby.
HRRN’s Dubai broadcast, presented by AmWest Entertainment, will air exclusively via live internet streaming on the HRRN website from 11:00 a.m. – Noon EST. HRRN’s coverage will include live calls of the Group 1 Al Maktoum Challenge-Round 3 and Group 1 Jebel Hatta, as well as the Group 2 Dubai City of Gold on taped delay. In addition, HRRN plans bonus coverage of the Group 3 Burj Nahaar and Meydan Sprint during their popular Equine Forum talk show which airs weekly on Saturday morning’s from 8:00-10:00 a.m. EST. The Equine Forum can be heard on 96.1 FM in Lexington, KY and is streamed live on the HRRN site.
HRRN returns Saturday afternoon with coverage of the Tampa Bay Derby (G2) beginning at 4:00 EST. The broadcast will feature bonus coverage of the Hillsborough Stakes (G3) and Suncoast Stakes, and can be heard on select HRRN affiliates and will be streamed live on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net. A complete HRRN schedule along with a listing of affiliates and streaming information is available on the HRRN site.
Mike Penna will anchor the HRRN coverage along with analyst Jude Feld.

Well, Valdez is no longer undefeated. Riverdee’s British runner finished fourth in the Doncaster Sales Bumper on Saturday at Newbury. My in-running comment would read: Pulled hard, never settled, saved ground, lacked room, slow to respond when called upon, switched lanes several times in stretch, stayed on well to just miss third.
